The Rob Lavers Group have been together since 2003.

They began by making a debut recording entitled 'Stretch' which was followed by a Jazz Services sponsored tour of venues in the U.K. In 2006 the group received sponsorship which enabled them to tour and record a second album,'Small Creature' which was released on the London based label 33 Records.

The band are seen here playing at Matt and Phreds jazz club in Manchester in May 2008 as part of a two week U.K tour. The group featured Laurent Robin on drums, Jamil Sheriff on piano and Jon Thorne on double bass. After performing live together they recorded a third album 'Child's eye' (Koosh Records) which featured special guests Mark chandler on flugel horn and Bill Laurence on fender rhodes.
